André stepped into the music scene in early 2012 and joined the Alt-Rock outfit "Firefly", performing shows around Cape Town, culminating in their final show at Rock the River 2012. 2013 saw the rise of The Femurs, a stoner rock group, which Andre was a founding member, performing relentlessly over the following two years. In this time André joined two other groups, 70s inspired rock band Aidan Martin and space-rock group Indigo Child. Indigo Child went on to perform many successful gigs, a highlight being the 2014 Waterfront NYE event. In 2015 Andre picked up more session work, and gigs that involved travelling throughout South Africa. In 2016 he was enlisted into the short-lived fiery indie outfit, Slow Jack. Performing at major festivals and ending the year with a performance at the celebrated Kirstenbosch Open Air Concert Series, opening for Johnny Clegg on NYE 2016. 2017 saw more gigs and festivals, including artists such as Ann Jangle, Luca Hart, Basson Laubscher, and Classic Revival. 2018 saw Andre performing full-time with Basson Laubscher and the Violent Free Peace as well as joining renowned gypsy rock group Crimson House. Multiple national tours later with Crimson House and Basson Laubscher culminated at the Kirstenbosch NYE concert where Crimson House opened for leading South African solo artist Jeremy Loops. 2019 was the start of André's international endeavours, beginning with a tour to Switzerland with singer/songwriter Ruben Gerritz and in 2020, Andre toured Australia, New Zealand and Zimbabwe as a session musician with different musical productions.
