Chris van der Walt is a veteran touring hard rock and metal bassist for the headlining bluesrock group, The Black Cat Bones, as well as the metal group Vulvodynia, the latter with whom he regularly tours abroad. He is also the guitarist for another acclaimed metal group, Boargazm. With these acts, Chris has become accustomed to headlining some of the biggest music festivals in South Africa. He has also played with a number of well-known South African artists/groups, such as Albert Frost, Scicoustic, Valiant Swart, Jack Hammer, Blood Brothers, Gerald Clark, Jonathan Peyper, as well as Jimi Hendrix-, Janis Joplin-, Led Zeppelin-, Bruce Springsteen Tribute shows. Chris is an endorsee of premier Finnish bass equipment manufacturers, Darkglass Electronics, and Dingwall bass guitars.
