Jamie took the harmonica while cycle-touring through Europe in the early 90’s. He immersed himself in the blues and has since become a harmonica expert in many styles including blues, country, folk, jazz, gypsy and African music. Jamie plays the 10 hole diatonic “Blues Harps” as well as the push-button chromatic harmonica. Being a guitarist and singer-songwriter he brings his understanding of key signatures, chord structure and harmonic concepts to his lessons. A professional musician for close to 30 years, highlights include being a member of The Honeymoon Suites, being accepted into the Chicago blues scene while touring with Menjaro Dance Project and touring Belgium and Holland with Korreltjie Kantel. Jamie has been a music teacher for over 10 years, catering for all ages.
